This Term I'm proud that I was able to help a year 6 trombone student receive a scholarship at Mercedes next year. She has only been playing for 6 months, so to help her progress faster we volunteered time each week in a small group. I am happy to also mention she was invited into the Mercedes Swing band and the Trinity/Mercedes Wind ensemble.

when we went to Thailand we went to this old orphanage and brought some money and sports stuff for the kids. Me and dad played soccer and spent hours with them playing and had a meal with them. It was crazy seeing this kids living it so tough but be so happy and at the start were real shy but at the end it was like they were all old mates.

Last holidays I was in Nepal trekking with my Dad. At the later end of my trip we were about to do the hardest day, Thorung La. Thorung La is a pass 6km above sea level, about 35km+ across, freezing cold, and you need to get up at about 3am to make it across before sunset. I'm really proud of going all the way through it because it was really hard. About halfway up I had to stop for a bit to swallow all the vomit in my mouth because I was going so hard. When I finished I remembered my first day trekking were I had to take long breaks much more frequently and I was really proud of how far I came.

I am proud of a time that I volunteered to play a soccer match for my local club against the Australian Paralympic team. This experienced really helped me open my eyes to realize how lucky I am, but also showed me how these people who have had to go through so many more tough experiences , are so grateful for everything they have in their life and have a greatly positive outlook on life. Overall, I was proud of my efforts as often people can overlook these chances due to some of the disabilities the people have but I viewed as an experience to help these people feel welcomed and have a bit of fun.

I was in the city once waiting for a friend, and i saw this guy sitting by himself over near the train station. All of a sudden these 4 people, of different ethnicities came over and two of them sat either side of him whilst the other two stood in front of him. i could tell he was intimidated and the little one next to him was trying to grab his wallet which was in his pants. It was in the middle of the day so i went over and told the 4 people to leave this kid alone otherwise i'd let the transperth officers know. It was intimidating at the time but i'm proud of it looking back because i'm not sure what would have happened to the kid if i didn't do anything

I am proud of a time when I was out with mates and I saw an old lady and her daughter being harassed by another lady who was definitely on something, I waited a bit then involved myself trying to deescalate the situation down but with no effect, then the drugged up lady soccer punched the old lady and ripped her necklace off. After this I put myself between the two parties to stop any further incidents and made sure the old lady was ok, now I was set on getting her necklace back so I tried to talk to the lady asking for the necklace and to leave but ended with an intense stare off and her kindly ditching the necklace at me. I proceeded to give the old lady and her daughter their necklace and walked them to their car and saw them on their way to make sure they were safe.

A moment I was proud of is when I chose to walk the cape to cape down south with a youth group during the cold, raining and windy weather during the holidays. We walked roughly 25 kms a day for the whole thing. It was nice achieving something that you can look back on with good memories. It was very hard though walking in soft sand all the time and steep hills.

This season in rowing I have been consistently in and out of the B crew. It has made me sometimes question why I do rowing. However, I have come to realise that this is a great opportunity to develop some resilience. So I decided that each time I get dropped, I would work even harder to get back in the B crew and when I do get to row in the Bs, I only think about one thing; making the boat go faster. I believe that this mindset will get me there. It may take a little while but I am prepared to do everything to get there.

But towards the end of last year i felt like i lost concentration in it. so this year i was looking for a new way to motivate me and when the student leader opportunity came up i took it. it has really motivated me to lead my pcg group and i love doing it also has made my goal of being a prefect closer. im am really pround of myself in the past 3 years for leading my pcg and will hopefully like to lead the whole school.

This was disappointing for me but I knew I still had to put my best foot forward, otherwise I would be letting the rest of the crew down. On Head of the River day, we were losing to Aquinas in the middle stages of race by at least two boat lengths. Not once did I think we had lost this. With an epic TCF in the last 500m we pulled in front of Aquinas and won our race by half a bow ball. I am very proud of myself and my awesome crew for pulling this off.

I am extremely proud of myself for completing my first set of aerobatics in a real plane. The first time I tried this new experience I was a bit hesitant. My dad gave me a reason to give it a try which was "You only live once, and you better make the most of that life you have." This gave me the confidence to now try something which not a lot of people have the opportunity to do. I now have the capability of doing more harder aerobatics without getting sick. This overall experience gave me the opportunity to be able to learn how to trust myself and the actions I take, the ability to never give up and try new opportunities.

During the athletics season I discovered that their are no limits if you work very hard and strive to do your very best. I nearly puked after every training session to improve and do the best possible for my school on the day. When the day came I knew I was ready and I found it was all worth it. I ended up winning two races and broke the record in both of them, I also came second in another race. I finished the season happy that I could not do any better and it will stay with me forever.

i played soccer on the weekend. it was an important game that we needed to win. There was 10 minutes left with the score at 0-0. The coach moved me from centre back to up front. I was only striker for 30 seconds before scoring a goal. we ended up winning the game 2-0. I was proud of myself because I rose to the occasion.

When we played Hale in term 3 for soccer the A's didn't have a keeper, so they asked me. Although I conceded an own goal in the first half. I kept my head up and didn't conceded for the rest of the afternoon.

I scored the opening goal against hale in soccer, sadly it was an own goal. In the second half it was 1-0, then after five minutes I scored the equaliser. thanks to a Jake Pizzuto assist.

After seeing a student steal a year seven's handball, I confronted him and made him give the ball back. I felt proud that I had the courage to push past the embarrassment and to get the ball back.

I think volunteering up to do the beep test as a leader really inspired me to go further and to develop my skills not just physically, but mentally because this gave me more faith in myself.
